Masculinity?

This piece was created during the following lockdown and began by exploring societal associations with sharp architectural lines on a masculine form and subverting them on the female form. Developing and

experimenting with two sources of dye coming from two opposing sources, one being rusted metal and the other being red cabbage. This piece is constructed by a collection of conflicts. The exploration of the

architectural forms drew me back to my childhood and origami. This combined with the loose, flowing, rags of hand-dyed fabric highlight the many paradoxical themes within this piece.
